A very nice 12 year old from Macallan distillery. Single Highland Malt sw - 12y - exclusively matured in selected sherry oak casks from Jerez 700ml - 40%  whiskybase: 4031 scores whiskybase – 85/153 malt maniacs - 81/11 serge valentin - 82 Notes are not that spectacular, but if you want to taste the 'old and simple' Macallan before they started the fine oak range, this is your change.

MacPhail's pure malt - 25y old 75cl - 40% bottled by Gordon & MacPhail. With bottle code 4699 this was bottled between 1982 - 1987 which means this whisky came from the era between 1957 - 1962. As G&M were not allowed to bottle Macallan as Macallan, they used their MacPhail's label.
